In the Center for International
Studies of BSU within the limits of photo-exhibition preparation «History of the
Belarus diplomacy» is conducted work on numbering and the description of a
photoarchive the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

On December, 23rd the director
of the Center for International Studies of BSU Uladzimir Ulakhovich visited TUT.BY Radio
There
was U. Ulakhovich's monograph «Formation of Bases of Foreign Policy of Belarus
(1991-2005)»
The monograph attempts to present a conceptual panorama of foreign
policy of Belarus as sovereign state.
The author offers classification
of sources by a theme, considers theoretical bases of the conceptual approach,
analyzes foreign policy documents of the USA, Great Britain, Russia, other
countries, develops bases of foreign policy of Belarus. The book explains mechanism
of
formation of foreign policies, shows national school approach on international research
and creation of Department of Foreign policy.
This monograph will be useful for
experts,
scientist, post-graduate students and non-graduate students, for whose who are interested
in international relations issues.
On December, 17th, 2009 the presentation of the monograph was held in the Minsk
International Y. Rau Educational Center.
October,
23rd, 2009 the Center for International Studies of BSU organized the
international workshop «New common European security treaty prospects. The
project, estimations and positions of the main continental actors».

On
May, 15th, 2009 the Center for International Studies of BSU held a seminar
«Methods of the situation analysis in the foreign policy», organized for
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the seminar three stages of situation
analysis were presented:
Developing of scenario
with internal structure and external interconnections.
Conducting of
multi faceted experts estimations on the basis of the scenario.
Final document preparation.
On
March, 26th, 2009 U. Ulakhovich, director of the Center for Interational Studies,
gave a lecture «Formation and development of Belarusian
foreign policy» for Presidential Administration
On
April, 3rd, 2009 in Minsk International Y. Rau Educational Center
workshop «European Union in the changed geopolitical co-ordinates system»,
was organized by the Center for International Studies of BSU.
Scientists, experts from BSU, BSEU,
State University of Brest , MGIMO, independent experts, journalists took part
in the workshop.
The workshop aimed to define possibilities to participate in the program
«Eastern Partnership» and discussed following questions:
Actual issues and challenges of the
European integration.
The EU 27 and its new borders. Cooperation with neighbor states.
The Centre for International Studies
has prepared for release the collection of scientific articles «Belarus
and Modern Europe: Policy, Economy, Culture».
