Center for International
Studies
was organized in March 2000 in a result of joint
initiative of Belarusian scientists, representing academic community and Belarusian State University
with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
Support
of the development of the national school
of International Research
through the establishment of the effective communicative environment for
scientists, experts and diplomats, strengthening of the civil society, academic
activities and Foreign Policy practice – mail goal of the Center activity.
In accordance with Charter
the basic aims of the Center are:
- Coordination of the scientific, research,
informational and analytical work in the sphere of Foreign Policy and
International Relations;
- Scientific and practical elaboration and
forecasting research in the sphere of International Relations, World
Economy and Regional Policy;
- Organization of scientific and practical
conferences and workshops devoted to the Foreign Policy and Foreign
Economics issues;
- Methodological support of the academic
activity according to the core specializations.
Experts, scientists from
state and non-state research institutions, universities of Belarus and
other countries take part in the project of the Center.
Scientific researches are
published in the Center books and periodical scientific editions.
